Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role located on campus, living with a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home, providing supervision, mentorship, and support. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. The role is a two-person, legally married couple position, with relocation assistance provided and total compensation approximately $168,000 per couple (salary $44,768 per person) including housing and meals. Both spouses must apply individually to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Prohibition on alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the home
