Job Summary
Residential two-person role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel attendance, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided; benefits include health insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, paid training, and housing/meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married status required for couples
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-modeling for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to work in a two-person couple role
