Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a student home. They provide care, supervision, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role. This role requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, a valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student home vans, high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Relocation assistance is provided, and the compensation includes housing and benefits; salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
