Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in a student-home setting in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided along with comprehensive benefits within a two-spouse, married-for-at-least-two-years arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
