Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver (Flex Houseparents) for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, fully on-campus role where married couples reside in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and on-site housing. Requires high school diploma or GED, being legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual long-term placement in a single student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple requirement
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Willingness to reside on-campus in a student home
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Ability to follow a schedule (nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off)
