Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver positions for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campuses. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring groups of 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, and driving students to activities. Responsibilities include planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and initially supporting multiple homes on a fixed nine-days-on / three-days-off schedule before transitioning into a Placed Houseparent role with a consistent student group. Benefits include salary per person of $46,917 with comprehensive health coverage, retirement, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a legally married status for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications. Locations include Hershey, PA and Lanark, IL with in-person work. Relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Proof of ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
