Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside on-campus and care for a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and development of routines. Responsibilities include leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting/household reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent role with a consistent student home after an initial period of nine days on duty followed by three days off. Requires a married couple to work together in the same home, with both spouses actively employed; benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive health coverage, paid time off, and housing.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
