Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. This two-person role requires married couples to work together (both spouses must complete individual applications), with a schedule of nine days on duty followed by three days off, and a transition into a Plac ed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided, and benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs, life and disability options, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-person role for married couples (two years of marriage)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
