Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Clamp two-person Flex Houseparent positions live on campus in student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance to 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, supervising budgets and reporting, and following a nine days-on, three days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living-and-working arrangement with the same group of students. Requires couples legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a high school diploma or GED. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with salary around $46,917 per person plus comprehensive benefits and paid training; relocation assistance is offered. Both spouses must submit individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying Chapel services
