Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and plan developmental and recreational engagements. Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting and household reporting while maintaining a structured, family-like environment. Upon hire, support various student homes on a nine-day-on, three-day-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific group. This two-person role requires legally married couples (aged 27+) to reside in Hershey, PA, providing comprehensive care within Milton Hershey School's unique, cost-free educational setting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
