Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in on-site student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. They oversee daily routines, supervise activities, administer medications, transport students to activities, and lead daily devotions and Chapel services. The role starts with a nine-on/three-off schedule and progresses to a Placed Houseparent arrangement with consistent placement in a single student home, supporting student academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
