Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent couple residing on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, responsible for supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The roles begin as Flex Houseparents in a nine-on/three-off cycle and transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided and employees receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and paid time off. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Applicants must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, and able to reside in the on-campus home with 8–13 students, with restrictions on dependents and campus safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
