Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver (Full-time Flex Houseparents) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and on-site housing meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA for on-campus housing and role
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
