Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, where married couples reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home) to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions, Sunday Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, PTO, and relocation assistance; housing, meals on duty, utilities included. Requires couples to be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, and a valid driver’s license with ability to certify to drive student vans. Relocation assistance provided; position based on on-campus housing in Hershey, PA with on-site duties and family-style caregiving.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and live on campus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
