Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on campus
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Possession of valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans
