Job Summary
A two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and progresses to a Placed Houseparent assignment living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to drive students and supervise housing
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
