Job Summary
Two-person Flex Houseparent team provides daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a Placed Houseparent arrangement living with the same group of students. The role includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student home vans, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with limited dependent children.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
