Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students in a residential home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a Placed Houseparent role with a stable student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- Ability to supervise and mentor youth
- Experience working or volunteering with youth is preferred
