Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for a group of 8–13 students while administering medications and ensuring wellness. Drive students to activities, plan recreational events, lead daily devotions, and accompany them to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same students after initial support of various homes. This full-time position requires a married couple residing on-campus in Hershey, PA, with a schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off. Both spouses must be 27 or older, hold a high school diploma, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
