Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. They reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and supervision for a group of approximately 8–13 students, mentor students daily, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. They will oversee budgeting and household reporting, start with a nine-on/three-off duty cycle, and eventually transition to a Placed Houseparent where they live and work with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and training. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
