Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver (Flex Houseparents) at Milton Hershey School. A two-person, full-time on-campus role where married couples reside in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, administer medications, drive to activities, plan and participate in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires relocation to Hershey, PA, and completion of individual applications by both spouses. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver\'s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated experience working with youth
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person role requiring both spouses to apply separately
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
