Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for a married couple at Milton Hershey School. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising and mentoring youth, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning/recreating developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on/three days off to a placed houseparent assignment. Requires two-person, legally married couple (both spouses ≥27) to apply, relocation to Hershey, PA, on-campus housing, and a comprehensive benefits package with relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Relocation to Hershey, PA and on-campus residence
