Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of about 813 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from initial multi-home assignment to a placed houseparent living in a dedicated student home. Requires on-campus residence, completion of individual applications by both spouses, and relocation to Hershey, PA. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Complete on-campus residency in Hershey, PA for placement
