Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 813 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The position operates on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Requires legally married couples for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a clean, professional, faith-informed environment with Judeo-Christian services (proselytizing prohibited). Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits, salary per person $44,768, with total compensation around $168,000 per couple including housing and meals. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
