Job Summary
Two-person married couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Provide daily supervision and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a Placed Houseparent with the same student group. Responsibilities include living on campus in student homes, fostering a structured, family-like environment, and ensuring student wellness and development through scheduled duties and activities. Requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license (certification to drive student vans), ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to safety and professional conduct. The role is fully on-campus and involves a nine-on, three-off duty cycle initially, with relocation assistance provided and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
