Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comittment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
