Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside with a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same student group. Requires collaboration between married spouses, strong youth-care experience, on-site housing responsibilities, and a commitment to a spiritually inclusive, disciplined campus community. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness for two-person married couple role
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Two-person role for couples
- No more than three dependent children in home
