Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students in a home-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and developing students’ academic, emotional, and social development. The role progresses from rotating duties to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a legally married two-person couple (each at least 27), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
