Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples living on campus at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship of 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting/household reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires on-campus housing, on-site duties, relocation provided, and a two-person married couple team meeting age and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
