Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents lived on campus to care for 8–13 students, providing supervision, guidance, and support, handling household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule, eventually transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Compensation is $46,917 per person (about $180,000 per couple with housing and benefits). Relocation assistance and paid training are provided. Required: experience with youth, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, willingness to lead devotional activities, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol). Must be a legally married two-person couple, with both spouses age 27 or older, and up to three dependent children in the home. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
