Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver for Milton Hershey School (two-person couple role) living on campus in student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple student homes during an initial nine-on/three-off schedule before transitioning to a consistent Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Requires a legally married two-spouse team, both ages 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required and on-campus residence is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
