Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School live on-campus in Hershey, PA and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students in a home-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing household routines and reporting. After an initial nine-on/three-off cycle, couples transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Salary is $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple with housing, meals, utilities, and more). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
Additional Requirements
- Married couples only
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
