Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role is a full-time, two-person position for legally married couples, initially supporting multiple homes with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and ultimately transitioning to a placed houseparent living and working with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance provided. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
