Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring wellness, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule initially involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and on-campus housing and meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married-for-at-least-two-years requirement
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapels
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
