Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married couple will reside on campus as Full-time Flex Houseparents, supervising 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, and supervision, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing household routines and budgeting. The position includes eventual transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrate integrity and professionalism. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, with benefits and paid training. Both spouses must be at least 27 years old and legally married for two years to apply, and the role is a two-person, on-campus residency with on-site housing and meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to complete individual employment applications (both spouses)
