Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, and lead activities, devotions, and Chapel attendance. Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a two-person role for legally married couples (both spouses must apply). Relocation assistance and paid training provided; on-site housing and benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
