Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living on campus and providing care, guidance, supervision, and developmental activities for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-on/three-off scheduling to a placed houseparent role with the same student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married relationship for the two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness for on-campus residence with students
- Ability to lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel
- Full-time availability with nine days on, three days off initially
- Relocation assistance provided
- Salary per person: $44,768.00 (approx. $168,000 total per couple including housing)
