Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver / Flex Houseparents provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of students living in on-campus homes. This two-person, married-couple role resides on campus, with duties including daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and may transition to a placed houseparent living arrangement with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, PTO, and paid training. A high school diploma or GED is required, and both spouses must complete individual applications to be considered. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required, with on-campus housing provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- On-campus residence for a group of students (~813)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Capable of driving student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted on duty
- Pet limitations as specified
