Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for a married couple as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and handling budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 (approx. $168,000 total per couple with housing/ meals on duty, utilities, etc.), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
