Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support; responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role modeled for students
