Job Summary
On-campus, full-time Flex Houseparents provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same students in their home. This two-person, married-couple position requires both spouses to apply individually and meet age and dependent-child limits, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to supervise and mentor students in a structured residential environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
