Job Summary
Two-person Married couple hired as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, accompanying Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students in their home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided; benefits include comprehensive coverage (medical, dental, vision), retirement savings, paid time off, and relocation assistance. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and complete individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to commit to live-in role within student homes
- Complete individual employment applications (both spouses) for consideration
