Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving and planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Schedule initially features nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; relocation is provided and benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for legally married couples
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two spouses must complete individual employment applications
