Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couple) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and eventual placement as a designated Houseparent in a student home. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
