Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role overseeing 8–13 students in on-campus homes; two-person, legally married couple required to reside in Hershey, PA on a full-time schedule with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning to a Placed Houseparent for same-group living. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and providing full housing benefits and relocation assistance. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
