Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples residing on Milton Hershey School campus. Responsibilities include supervising 8–13 students, mentoring, overseeing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading activities and devotions, budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent in a student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and ability to lead religious devotions; on-campus housing and meals are provided as part of compensation. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required and two individual employment applications are required for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
