Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver (Flex Houseparents) - a two-person, full-time on-campus role at Milton Hershey School. The couple resides in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students, providing mentorship, supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The nine-on/three-off schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty before moving to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-person, married-couple employment setup; both spouses must complete separate applications and be 27+ years old. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model behavior
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Prolonged commitment and two-person employment applications to be completed separately
