Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School located in Hershey, PA. The couple resides in on-campus student homes and provides care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentoring, medication administration, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; salary per person is listed as $44,768 (with total compensation per couple around $168,000). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person team must apply (married for at least two years)
- Spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in supervising daily routines and activities
- Ability to administer medications as needed
- Comfort leading devotions and attending chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Permissible pet policy (fish and one dog)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
