Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role: two-person married couple live-in houseparents at Milton Hershey School. They reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine-days-on/three-days-off to a placed houseparent configuration. Requires a legally married couple, both ages 27+, HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance. Includes full-time employment, benefits, and on-campus housing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
