Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance provided; salary per person listed with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years married (for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Willingness to participate in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children in student home
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
